Abel Barroso | BIRTHPLACE - RESIDENCE
45 x 46 inches | Collage, wood, and washi paper on Fabriano paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE
Birthplace – Residence proposes the representation and contrast between the big city, the multicultural metrópolis and the periphery. The artwork exposes the rupture between the two spaces. It shows the dichotomy between the sophisticated and the precarious, the urban or the rural. The leaving and returning to your birthplace or towards a city of opportunity is a central theme.
