Colin Fleck was born in San Diego California in 1989, but moved and spent his formative years in the natural state of Arkansas. In 2008 he moved from Fort Smith, Arkansas to Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned his BA in Philosophy at Rhodes College. Shortly after graduating in 2012, Fleck enrolled in Art Center College of Design, located in Pasadena, California, as an Illustration, major. He is expected to graduate from Art Center in December of 2016. During his undergraduate education, Fleck was given the opportunity to travel extensively. He spent collectively eight months living in Xi’an and Kunming, China. He also lived and worked in Dublin, Ireland for a period of time. Fleck’s work is largely figurative, pulling from his past studies and travels to talk about philosophy, anthropology, and humanity’s relationship with the natural.
