ABOUT ROBERT REDDING

Robert Redding is an Orange County-based painter inspired by the evolution of land use and the spaces at the center of humanity that possess elements of fringe or the "outsider." Taking a purposefully street-level view, Redding's compositions envelope the viewer, inviting them to walk up and into them, to peak over the fence and see what is on the other side. Never are his paintings void of the presence of nature, always encircling and pushing into organized, man-made spaces.

Redding has developed his craft over several years as a textile designer working within the surf/skate industry. He now has a full-time painting practice based out of the Logan Creative arts complex in Santa Ana.
